Rockport Heroes Remembered!
Military Series Of Some Heroes From The Korean War.



This Military Series Is Designed To Give Honor To Those From The Rockport Area That Served Our Country. I Have Not Left Out Anyone Intentionally, As I Can Only Include Those That I Have Information About. If You Know Or Aware Of Anyone That I Have Not Included, Please Feel Free To Send Me Some Material And I will Include Them In The Series. Thanks.

Snowball
Willard Lee "Snowball" Thomas.


Willard is a lifelong resident of the Rockport area and attended Rockport High School and Jubilee Grade School. He married Analee Fulkerson October 20, 1960 and they proceeded to make their home on Hwy. 1245, in Rockport, KY. They have two daughters, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Willard was in the coal mining industry for thirty one years before retirement.

Willard Lee Thomas was born August 12, 1930 at Rockport, Kentucky. He was inducted into the Army to Fort Mead, Maryland August 8, 1951. He took basic training at Camp Breckinridge, near Fort Campbell. He spent his service time at Killeen, Texas. He was discharged August 9, 1953.
