James Thomas Wilkerson. The following information and pictures were furnished by Jimmy's mother, Karen. Thanks Karen. James (Jimmy) T. Wilkerson was born 10 Dec 1970 at Ohio County, KY. He was our tornado baby. Remember the tornado that went through Rockport in November 19, 1970? Jimmy's dad (Toe) and I were living in a trailer on the old Elder property and just up the hill from Nippy's old place. I was eight months pregnant and during the tornado, our trailer was swept over the hill. Toe and I were blown down the hill with the trailer. Toe was able to hold on to me and we were survivors of a tornado. Jimmy was born a month later. Jimmy went into the Navy in 1988 after high school and did nukes as he likes to say! He was assigned to the USS TR - CVN-71, an aircraft carrier. The Aircraft Carrier is pictured above. Thanks Jimmy, for your service to our country. |
