I knew or knew of some of these men and women that graduated in 1931. Of the nine
that graduates, some stayed in the Rockport area, some moved on, and some became
heroes. Guess that was the norm back then. My information about each graduate will
be limited and without any information on most of the students. I will keep this
page under construction for the time being or until I fill in all of the date on
this fine group of men and women. I would use and appreciate any pertinent information
that any of you could provide. Just make contact with me at durham29@att.net and
we can proceed from that point. Anyway, the following is all that I have for now.
1.
Elzie Adcock. Information nil. Help would be appreciated.
2.
Bee Bratcher. Doing some guessing here, but I think that Bee was Emerson
Bratcher's younger sister.
3.
Mrs. Florene Curtis. I have no information on Mrs. Curtis.
4.
Ruby Eudaily. I never knew any Eudaily's period, let alone any from Rockport.
Please fill me in if you are in the know about Ms Eudaily.
5.
Harold Hicks.

Bruce Mason. Bruce "Pete" Mason married Thelma Tooley soon after graduating
from high school. Thelma's parents were operating "Tooley's Place", a grocery store
next to the Rockport High School, at tht time. As a young married couple Pete and
Thelma started helping out at the grocery store and they would eventually be the
owners and operators, but I am getting ahead of the game. A few years after graduating
from high school, Pete was drafted into the Army and Pete entered the service to help
his country survive. After serving honorably, Pete returned as a hero and then settled
in to raise a family. A daughter was born and a new house was built in behind the
grocery. Pete and Thelma worked in that store to way past retirement, but that was
mostly Pete as he enjoyed seeing customers enter his store. By now, the store
originally called "Tooley's Grocery" was change to "Thelma's Place". Click on the
following link to visit Pete's Military page.
